NBA Fast Break: Heat Rally Past Knicks, Thunder Sweep Clippers

The last time the Miami Heat lost was on my birthday (Feb. 1), which bodes well for them given the fact I only celebrate the day once a year. Miami’s Sunday afternoon battle against the Knicks resembled seeing a parent in the mall with one of those child leashes. As strange as it sounds, the game was somewhat of a must-win for Miami for a team riding a 13-game winning streak and a Ted DiBiase sleeper hold on the Eastern Conference.

Knicks fans have been quick all year to remind anyone who’ll listen they handed Pat Riley’s South Beach mafia two of their ugliest L’s of the season. And for a half, it seemed like New York would take a 3-0 advantage in the regular season version of the Eastern Conference Finals.
