The Chuck E. Cheese mascot, America’s second most famous mouse after Mickey, will look totally different next time you take your kids for pizza and Skee-Ball. The rodent received a rockstar revamp courtesy of his makers and now looks slim and trim versus the plumper version of his former self many have known for decades. As of Thursday, a more svelte Chuck will appear in ad campaigns and even his voice will be different after Duncan Brannan, the voice behind the rat since 1993, got axed without any notice.
Thankfully, the establishment isn’t abandoning their buttery, fattening pizza or their beer-serving practices. That would be unjust and make the place a total drag.
