Audi-owned supercar manufacturer Lamborghini opened the doors for preorders of their new top-tier car, the Huracan LP 610-4, set to replace the Gallardo. In the first month, while only allowing VIP orders, Lamborghini took 700 orders during one month for this new hyper-car, setting the pace to become their best selling whip to date.
To put into perspective, the company only sold 2,121 cars total in 2013, and roughly 14,000 Gallardos have been built over its 11-year life span. So it will be interesting to see what this new one does in its first year.
The YRNs of the world will really want to consider this upgrade, too. Compared to the Gallardo, the Huracan gets a boost up to 602 HP, 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds, top speed of 202 mph, and most importantly better full economy with roughly 23 mpg in the city and about 17% less emissions from its previous tier model. So will you be getting your $200,000 Lamborghini Huracán next month when public orders are allowed, or do you wait ’til the kinks are all worked out?
