If you’ve ever attended college, whether you paid tuition or not, you’re well aware Pabst is a staple of classy campuses across the US. But, for Asher Roth, that prestigious Blue Ribbon may be the only thing the Morrisville MC has left in common with his school days, as this comatose title cut from his upcoming Pabst & Jazz project proves the former party animal gets his kicks lately from penning poignant hip-hop tracks like this.

To ensure he too doesn’t die young like so many before him, X To The Vizzy penned this insightful look into what might have driven his idols to their early graves, over a drum-heavy backdrop courtesy of his homie Awesome Sound. 28 would be nice, indeed.

Apparently, Q’s highly-anticipated Habits & Contradictions mixtape is due for download this month. But, seeing as we’re halfway through the busiest month of the year and there’s still no drop date, we’ll just coast on this oddly-named leaner from Top Dawg Ent’s loose cannon.

You may or may not have heard that Jahlil Beats got signed to Roc Nation. Well, either way, Capo decided to see what all the fuss was about and paid the Pennsylvania producer to lace his new murder rap, “Redrum.” Depending who you ask, the bars are either horrifying or glorifying, but the beat’s stupid enough to carry the track alone.

Oh, Ashanti. How I loved her and those crazy-long sideburns back in 2002. Somewhere since then, though, the former Murder Inc diva basically stopped making music, took the Rocky Maivia route and turned to acting. But, now she’s back with Busta, for this soulful comeback from her still-untitled, upcoming fifth album. And, while the song isn’t as hit-worthy as “Foolish,” the sample’s almost as nice as those eyes of hers.
