Beedie – “Robert Marley”

08.01.12 5 years ago

A lot of rap tracks try to make money, but Beedie’s “Robert Marley” is simply trying to make the genre proud. Centered around vocal samples from the Rastafarian king, Busta Rhymes & Mobb Deep to name a few, this dusty Buckwild production paves way for casually elegant rhymes from this Pittsbutgh native, as he drops potent punchlines and brags about crate digging like Rozay big-ups his Bugatti. In an era when so many rappers sound cliche for claiming “real hip-hop,” this track is that and most would agree.

For more Beedie, be on the lookout for his upcoming Above The Weather EP on August 13.
