The news of Lil Phat’s murder is an obvious punch to the stomach for any Trill Ent. supporter. For an ensemble housing so much talent at one point, viewing the camp – or what’s left of it – remains powerful a “what if.”* This is especially noteworthy given the current climate of rap and how camps (YMCMB, MMG, G.O.O.D.) currently dominate headlines. However, hearing new music from Boosie is always appreciated. Boo Rossini secures a previously unheard of Bad Azz verse (or one I can’t remember hearing) for “M.C.H.” – an acronym for “Money, Cash, Hoes.”
Adjusting with the news, Rossini even managed to briefly eulogize Phat. I was holding out hope if/when Boosie got out we’d somehow see a full Trill Fam project, too.
Boo Rossini Feat. Lil Boosie – “M.C.H.”
* – I feel like I run through this scenario every three months. What if Pimp C never died? What if Boosie never went to prison? What if Webbie never stopped giving a damn? The questions could stretch from Port Arthur to Baton Rouge if we really wanted to go there.
