hasHBrown – “The Death Penalty”

Sometimes, if you’re looking for something specific and can’t come up with it yourself, outsourcing may be your best option. Considering hasHBrown is something of a monster behind the boards in his own right, let’s assume that specific circumstance was the lining behind this H-Town multi-tasker’s electrifying new single, “The Death Penalty.” Good choice too, because as quality as HB’s beats can be, producer YPhoenix’s chopped-up charge is so riveting it’s reminiscent of the prime Roc-A-Fella years. Instead of getting railed by 10 MCs though, hasH takes the lead, pummeling each and every adversary into the dust of the sped-up samples and horns, en route to a late November release of his sophomore album Break Something.

Apparently, they no longer serve meals before getting the death penalty in Texas. That must be why hasHBRown sounds damn hungry.
