Hoodie Allen – “Hey Now”

08.01.12 5 years ago

Last time Hoodie Allen dropped a project, we waited like a year for follow-up material. However, after landing some hefty accolades from his applauded All-American EP, the Long Island up-and-comer smartened up and dropped off “Hey Now” only a few months afterwards. A fresh leftover, this slick showing finds Allen outside his poppy comfort zone, zoning out over Something Silent’s rave-in-the-trap-type production. Actually, you know how most rappers release a street single before their album that’s harder than anything on the actual LP? Well, Hoodie released that track afterwords and this is it.

While you’re here, you might be interested to know that G-Eazy will be joining Mr. Allen for their Excellent Adventure tour, which kicks off in Columbus, Oh on August 7. You can buy currently tickets for all dates at Hoodie’s website.
