If I had funding to enlist two of the ten hottest names in music for one song, the track in question would be an undeniable dime. Apparently, Mann doesn’t have such staunch standards. Despite featuring both the most talked about Hip-Hop and R&B artists on the market, the LA native’s “Bend Ya” is actually rather boring.
Generic in concept and bland in delivery, this Fingazz-produced single seems like it was taped together by Island Def Jam Records from throwaway pieces, as another forced attempt to build JR Rotem’s artist some buzz. To Mann’s credit though, neither of the bigs shine as bright as they could and his spoken-word outro is the track’s highlight.
That said, do you think names alone can carry this slow flow to the next level? Or, is this simply a case of buzz driving uninspired music?
