Aside from a few remixes, Mike Posner has been ghost for the better part of the last year. But, just because his debut LP got panned by most of his core fan base, doesn’t mean he’s heading for the hills. To ensure a safe landing upon his return, the Michigan pop-star has reworked an Elton John classic with Bun B for the first of many free tracks he’ll be debuting every day, leading up the November 20th release of his mixtape, The Layover.

“Double-parked, got my girl pulling tickets for me/ No charge, like my cellphone quit on me.” For their first flight together since Mikey signed with Spitta’s Jet Life imprint last month, these two air quality inspectors run circles around RZA’s horny instrumental from Starks’ Def Jam debut, Pretty Toney.

Curren$y Feat. Sir Michael Rocks – “Luxury Sport”

Just because the original version of Ace’s sweaty single was released way back in July, doesn’t mean DJ Khaled hasn’t done some favors in the meantime to ensure his lil’ homie gets a star-studded G-Mix. For this version, the dreaded MC adds another verse to the beefed-up beat, while Ralph and Rozay get their MMG on, per usual.

Ace Hood Feat. Rick Ross, Wale, Chris Brown & DJ Khaled – “Body To Body (Remix)”

As far as making a difference goes, the other three tracks featured here are pretty stand-offish. But, leave it up H-Town’s hasHBrown to try and “Break The Chain.” Knocking doors down over his own amped-up version of Fleetwood Mac’s classic, Hash and Guilty Simpson ask rappers and challenge listeners to quit being so typical. Good luck with that one, guys.
