Maybe Ryan wasn’t exaggerating. If Nasir keeps this momentum heading in the right direction, life may be better than good. Sincere decided there was no better time than the present to let loose of his Ricky Rozay-assisted cut from Life Is Good, “Accident Murderers.” And needless to say, neither disappoints.
Without getting into the debate on who outshone who, Ross attacks the number with a special sense of aggression conceivably due to the fact of who he’s rhyming alongside. Any competitive person knows when they’re in the room with someone equally as hungry and (in certain occasions) more talented. Rozay holds his own further showcasing his flow is getting sharper. If this and his appearances on Self Made 2 are any indication, God Forgives, I Don’t could very well be his best work yet. Meanwhile, with church organs and even a choir, Nas paints the picture of ghetto tragedies and homicides from those who should have never been holding a gun in the first place.
Right now, I’ve got $28 left on my iTunes gift certificate. And with each passing leak, L.I.G. getting that money is becoming more and more a decision that’s already etched in stone.*
Nas Feat. Rick Ross – “Accident Murderers”
* – Frank Ocean’s got my bread, too. That’s another article in the near future though.
