After a year of drying up ink pens on his end and months of waiting on ours, OnCue has finally let go of his highly-anticipated Can’t Wait project. Everything we’ve heard thus far has been nothing short of moving, with an equal amount of uplifting odes to self-empowerment (“Feel Tall”) and dwelling cuts of doubt (“Better Than Before”), and now the full project is here to pull them all together. However, if you’ve been slacking up until this point and need another piece of reassurance, soak up Cuey’s duet with Mike Posner. Over 88 Keys’ lackadaisical, palm-tree-breezy beat, the two trade verses about chicks who initially missed the boat and are now stuck panhandling at the peer. It may be a tad more commercial than the other offerings from the tape, but cohesive projects typically do that.
