Roc Marciano & Gangrene – “Jaws”

For just under three minutes, the world belongs to Roc Marciano on “Jaws,” his latest collaboration with Gangrene. The man flows with the greatest of ease, weaving together gully quotables into another intricate, pulse-pounding verse. He’s delivering dense stuff, heavy, but there are no slip-ups here, no signs of weakness. Just skill, each line building on the last. A sample: “Sucker free son of a G, I’m everything you want to be, Blowing shrubbery, sipping bubbly with company, Say it bluntly, I was nice when ‘Pac danced for Humpty, But now they bump me out the country, You could never chump me, you monkey, head’ll be lumpy.”

Break out the bitter-beer face. Add Oh No’s ominous, thumping beat – check that horn stab, that ish is positively evil – and it all comes together, another strong cut from Roc Marci and those Gangrene cats.

The brand-new Greneberg EP is available on iTunes now.
