Rochelle Jordan occupies every bit of aural negative space in the sparse “Losing.” For much of the song, her tone is regretful, and almost haunting, like that of an addict who sees her reflection in the mirror, hates what she sees, yet still goes in search for her next fix. “Losing” is a half lament, half ode to the sacrifices made in the name of maintaining relationships. It turns out that love is the most addicting drug of them all.
