Tasks are so much easier to complete when everyone involved knows their roles and accepts them. When this happens in the music world, the outcome is always positive. Travis Barker’s “City Of Dreams” is a validation of such. And if one Barker/Clipse collaboration wasn’t enough, a second should definitely do the trick. The world’s most famous tatted drummer does his job and sets the stage for the Thornton brothers to weave a lyrical tale of hustling, duffle bags and bricks. That flow, after all these years, has yet to see an expiration date and bodes well to any future Clipse projects. Last but not least, Kobe’s haunting hook drives the record home and helps paint the picture of a city where dreams remain just that.

Travis Barker Feat. Clipse & Kobe – “City Of Dreams”
Bonus: The man and his drums took their talents to Conan’s gig and performed the track “Saturday Night” with The Transplants and Mixmaster Mike. Here’s proof that I’m not lying.
