Nicki Minaj is doing press in the UK, still hawking her latest album, The Pinkprint, to her fans overseas. It’s just a couple of phoners, but Onika was as revealing as she’s been in a long time.

First, Nicki talked to Capital FM about Kanye West singing her praises at his Oxford University lecture a few days ago. There, Yeezy said she “kicked my ass” on “Monster,” on the album he called his “magnum opus.” Well, Nicki heard the praise and had this to say:

“It’s sort of amazing. I keep saying that Kanye – he gave me an amazing opportunity, and because of that I feel like he outshines everyone. He puts people in a position to do better. When you are an artist and you can do that for people, then you are the king. You are the one. And that’s how I look at him. But he gave me a great opportunity that no one has – I mean outside of Lil Wayne. I didn’t think another artist could ever really give me such a great platform and he did in a really selfless way. He didn’t have anything to gain from it and so that’s why I’ve always respected and loved him for it.”

In another UK interview with BBC’s Charlie Sloth, she discussed a number of things, including her relationship with Meek Mill, which she remarked, “We’re just super compatible and just be having fun together.” She also gave a non-answer when asked if she would leave Cash Money with Lil Wayne, but the most revealing anecdote was her remarks towards her former label mate, Tyga.

It was a little swept under the rug last year, but when Tyga aired his grievances with Drake to Vibe, he also mentioned, “I don’t really get along with Nicki.”

Nobody really knew why, and Nicki never entertained it, so it died along with Tyga’s album and singles. Nicki is now shedding some light on the situation, as she discussed her song “Truffle Butter” leaking with a Tyga verse on it last summer:

“The song was on my album and, you know, we don’t know how but it magically ended up in Tyga’s hands. I told him, ‘That’s my song,’ and told him that me and Drake were going to be on it. Low and behold, it leaked with him on it after I told him not to put it out and I thought that was a little bit disrespectful ’cause I had always shown him love. I had always done stuff with him, took him on tour with me, and I thought it was disrespectful ’cause I am the queen of Young Money. And then he said some stuff that I didn’t feel but he texted me after and apologized and he said ‘You always were there for me’ and I respected him for saying that.”

She added that Tyga came to his senses by apologizing. Check out the interview below where she also is questioned about Chris Brown’s new, old baby:
