Nike didn’t get the memo about Kanye bolting for adidas. Or maybe they did and gave no f*cks about reusing a color combo he made famous in the streetwear world.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro PRM ‘Solar Reds’ might as well be called the ‘Yeezy Foams’ at first glance. Not that I’m mad at it. Given the use of materials and lack of an all-over graphic we’ve seen all too frequently, these Foams are intriguing and might be worthy of that $250 price tag.
The carbon fiber print on the upper fused with the snake skin printed suede lace panel stands out without the need for annoyingly bright colors. A glow in the dark sole is par for the course on Kanye inspired kicks so no real shock there. Keeping the solar red to the bare minimum is a good call since it lets the accents on the materials do the talking. The colors might be overdone but in this instance Nike has done it justice. This might be Nike’s season of less is more. If so, I’m on board.
The Nike Air Foamposite Pro PRM ‘Solar Red’ releases April 19th.
