I’m ready to crown KD and Leo Cheng the Ghostface and Raekwon of basketball kicks. The storytelling with each release is impeccable. Thank God Durant didn’t bolt for UA, otherwise we would have never gotten the Nike Zoom KD7 ‘Good Apples.’ The almighty Swoosh might be beating a dead horse with another Yeezy-like colorway, but at least these come with a neat story.
Modeled after an apple orchard, Durant equates his game to picking apples: take the good ones, leave the rotten ones. I guess Nike’s saving the ‘Bad Apples’ for Swaggy P. Interesting take on basketball, but if it means more dope KD releases, by all means the mad hatters of Nike Basketball should carry on.
The Nike Zoom KD7 ‘Good Apples’ releases October 4th. Retail price is $150.
