This is probably the first time the state of Florida had so many shoes paying homage to it by way of Nike. LeBron’s current home is getting so much props I’m lowkey expecting a Dade County shoe next.
For this go round, the Nike Lebron 11 ‘Everglades’ are covered with imagery of the plant life associated with the swampland while the vivid colors highlight the art deco theme of Miami.
If the pattern looks familiar, Nike seems to have rehashed it from the sockliner of the King’s Pride 11s to give it some shine and added some metallic silver on the Swoosh and tongue logo. A small detail that will probably get overlooked is the multicolored Flywire eyelets but to me it’s one of the best aspects of the shoe. Nothing overwhelmingly fly about the shoes per se but with this drop Nike shows it can do a Hawaiian shirt-styled print without looking like a Tommy Bahama release.
The Nike LeBron 11 ‘Everglades’ releases May 17th.
