The Nike Lunar Flyknit Chukka could have very easily been a top three new sneaker to debut in 2013. Thanks to the fusion of Lunarlon and a middle length upper made of Flyknit, the limited HTM Chukka flew off the fucking shelves, leaving us non-early adopters in the dust and crying in our beer. Not cool. But for those who were fans of the colorway, fear not. The “Squadron Blue” release comes in a similar makeup, albeit in a darker hue and with a speckled midsole. That’ll do Nike, that’ll do.
Who doesn’t love a neutral colored shoe with a hint of speckles? Communists, that’s who. These. Are. Dope. The price might be out of range for some, but it’s $170 well spent on a shoe with this much comfort and style. One minor gripe would be the lack a completely rubberized sole to increase durability, but a flawless victory has been achieved otherwise.
The ‘Squadron Blue’ Nike Flyknit Chukkas already dropped overseas on Monday, but look for these to come to the US soon. Can’t wait? Cop from Sole Box.
