Nike’s SNKR App Brings The Shoe Store To Your Fingertips

The holy grail of purchasing apps has arrived. Nike’s doling out limited access for an app that may alleviate most of the stress sneakerheads feel on release day:

Sneaker lovers across the United States will soon have a new inside source for highly coveted Nike footwear. The Nike SNKRS app is a one-stop sneaker shop that grants mobile access to the most premium Nike sneakers. It offers the best catalog of men’s and women’s shoes, including popular franchises like Air Force 1, Air Max, Foamposite and Jordan, as well as Nike SB products.

Real time notifications of imminent releases and stories behind fan favorites might only be the tip of the iceberg, but for me, that’s enough. If I can add a tidbit of wisdom to the app developers, DO NOT USE THE SAME HOSTING SERVICE AS THE WEBSITE. Some Saturdays I feel like I’m in an infinite loop of sorrow every time the site goes down or I’m too slow to whatever purchase hotness is dropping that day.

As of today, there will be some beta users that gain access, along with anyone who can stop by the Zoom City SNKR Station in New York up until the 15th. All of the rest of the unlucky souls will have to wait later this Spring. You’re promising us a Bentley, Nike. Don’t deliver a booger green Pacer.
