Nipsey Hussle – “Respect Ya Passion” (Prod. By Bink!)

There’s (still) no set date for Victory Lap and the new slew of songs by Nipsey Hussle may or may not lead us anywhere, but at least we’re getting somewhere. I think both Tins and I have lamented our high hopes for Nipsey being sligthly deflated but the attraction to his music still being alive.

It’s hard not to have hope as the words stream through on the Bink!-produced “Respect Ya Passion,” a song that seems dedicated to lessons learned since entering the music industry. The Inglewood MC rattles off lines like “My first record deal probably saved my life…my road dog doing 12 now, tryin’ to turn this shit to heaven ’cause we hell bound” showing that life’s experiences and differences have made him stronger and wiser, both as an artist and man. No matter if he blows up the Billboard charts or not, Hussle keeps proving that his music’s worth the listen.
