Every 2,000 followers Neighborhood Nip receives on Twitter, we’ll all be the recipients of a brand spanking new MP3 as a show of his appreciation. “Smoking With My Stylist” serves as the first installment clocking in at a tad under two minutes. Any new Nip is a sign in the right direction, but here’s where the objective portion of these words come to a close.
Increasing your social media presence is needed in today’s age. And given Hussle’s disappearing act – which I’m well aware isn’t all his doing – for what feels like months at a time, simply remaining in the public eye is welcomed. My only question remains this. With TM3: Victory Lap on ice in some random L.A. studio, random singles aren’t the most attractive prize in the world. Mac Miller, Waka Flocka and Stalley have all done something similar in the past, but all three had projects their Twitter campaigns ultimately led to. With Nip, from the outside peering in, this initiative feels the exact opposite.
Look, here’s to hoping everything said here is off-base. Nipsey’s talent is indeed still evident nearly half a decade following Bullets Ain’t Got No Name Vol. 1. All I’m saying is a four or five song EP just to keep fools like myself at bay never hurt anybody either.
