In classic underdog fashion, unheralded Toronto rapper Drake’s Nothing Was The Same is moving some serious numbers. Per HITS Daily Double, first day sales project to over 725,000 units moved in the first week. These sales easily beat out Kings Of Leon, whose Mechanical Bull is projected to move up to 125,000 units.

In all seriousness, this isn’t news. This was a foregone conclusion. Good for Drizzy. Hard to say what anybody “deserves” nowadays, but Mr. OVO continues to put out quality music and his efforts continue to be handsomely rewarded.

Feel free to sound off in the comments about your favorite track. I still can’t go a day without playing “Tuscan Leather.”
