A few days ago, I was already on the verge of picking up the New Balance Boston 890v3. But I was going to purchase via New Balance directly. After receiving Packer Shoes’ newsletter last night, I may have changed my mind about if and where I’ll be copping.

For a set few days, every pair sold of the the New Balance limited edition “Boston Marathon Collection” means the N.J.-based retailer will donate 100% of the proceeds to the Boys and Girls club of Dorchester. The donation’s being done in honor of Martin Richard, the eight-year-old boy killed during the blast, and his sister, who was also badly injured. The chosen Boys and Girls club is located in the Richard’s hometown.

The sale begins today at 3PM EST and will continue until the end of the day Monday, April 22. For more info, visit Packer’s site.
