Training’s the most mundane part of any new job. Every single “no sh*t!” detail has to be explained. Plus your soon-to-be supervisors seem a little too enthusiastic about the company which likely gives two steps short of a damn about them. Pier 1’s training process probably follows the tired, aforementioned path. Nevertheless, they at least demonstrated a mastery for our favorite genre for tomorrow’s dining table salesmen.
See, what we have here is Wayne Brady’s brother trying to salvage his acting career. He somehow thought the quickest way to the top required being the token brother rapping about life in the home decor trap. That might not have been the best decision in hindsight. However I applaud him and actual Pier 1 employees for putting their reputations on the line for internet laughs…a decade or so after filming.
Just take heed before you click play and laugh yourself off your chair. No one wins when a company named RAProductions produces your video featuring a beat orchestrated from the Fruity Loops 3.0 beta. On second thought, if employees got paid while watching this, then they’re the real winners after all.
