A wise man once said that we’re currently in the midst of the most wonderful time of the year. Whoever that man was probably had a Best Buy somewhere near his house. Right now is glorious because we get to ogle dope gadgets with a slight glimmer of hope that there’s somebody in this world that loves us enough to fill out our tech gadgety, nerdy fantasies.

And for those of you unable to condense your massive wish list to a few choice items, I’m here to help you out. Here are five can’t miss items you need to complete your Holiday wish list.

1. Xbox 360 4GB Console with Kinect Bundle

XBOX 360 Kinect Bundle – The PS3 had always been able to have a one-up selling point over the XBOX: the Blu-Ray player. But with the prices of Blu-Ray players dropping and Microsoft’s dedication to making its system a full family entertainment unit, that advantage has all but disappeared. The XBOX 360 now has the ESPN feature which is like being in the control room in Bristol. It’s the coolest way to watch college football. With this ESPN feature, streaming Netflix and the family fun available on the Kinect, the XBOX 360 is becoming the gaming system to own this year. (Buy)

2. Sony 3D Wi-Fi Built-In Blu-ray Player

Since you’re getting the XBOX 360 this year, you’re going to need a Blu-ray player. I know I’m beating a dead horse, but there’s no comparison between Blu-ray video quality and regular DVDs. I bought my first Blu-ray movie this year and haven’t looked back. Plus Hollywood is pushing Blu-ray so the discs are usually packed with more extras. Sony seems to be at the top of the class in Blu-ray players and the Wi-Fi allows you to update your software any time. (Buy)
