Remember when you first bought ‘Pokémon Red’ and you were all excited to play the game EXACTLY the way that Ash went about in his televised adventures? But then you realized that, no, you couldn’t have Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur at the same time, lest you traded with your dweeby little friends?
Those false promises that Pokémon, the show, sold us on are finally being corrected with Pokémon: The Origin, a new series that, if my Japanese serves correct, will be a great tool for Nintendo to make another billion off of. I mean, it’ll more closely follow the original game. Something cool like that.
Pokémon: The Origin will premiere in Japan on October 2 at 7:00 p.m. and everywhere online 30 minutes later.
