PoV: The Loneliest Job In The World

For anyone in America – the world, really – whose job pays more in stress than it does in currency, rest assured one confirmation. President John F. Kennedy cared, if ain’t nobody else care.

The above photo, snapped by George Tames and later dubbed “The Loneliest Job In The World” during the Cuban Missile Crisis by the New York Times, is actually the exact opposite of what its label suggests. Taken not even a month after his inauguration on February 10, 1961, JFK’s chronic back problems stemming from his days serving in the military caused him to hunch over the desk in order to read a newspaper.
