Real Recognize Real: President Namedrops Jeezy At White House Correspondents Dinner

During his speech at last night’s White House Correspondents Dinner, President Barack Obama gave a nod to the Snowman, a shoutout the rap world had been waiting to hear for a while. After being asked what would happen during his second term, the President joked that “In my first term, I sang Al Green; in my second term, I’m going with Young Jeezy.” Jeezy seemed to accept the acknowledgement in stride by responding via Twitter that “you know they love the snowman at the white house.”

While many assume Obama’s referring to Jeezy’s 2008 track “My President,” I’ll place my bets that he’ll karaoke “Superfreak.” Again, I’m fairly certain he’s taking his campaign cues from us.
