While Eminem’s early albums are undeniable classics, his most recent two solo joints have been only a couple shitty songs from becoming easily-scratched coasters (Recovery more so than Relapse). And other than a halfway decent Bad Meets Evil EP with Royce Da 5’9, he’s been taking on the development role to strengthen Shady Records’ roster.
Yet, despite signing THE premier up-and-comer at the time in Yelawolf, Radioactive suffered from an obvious case of ‘the label fucked my album’ syndrome and Em had one meh appearance on “Throw It Up.” Yesterday, his other signee, Slaughterhouse’s album hit the Internet boasted three features from Marshall and well…none of them wound up being noteworthy at all. And, adding insult to injury, there doesn’t look to be another Eminem album anywhere on the horizon any time soon.
All of this, of course, leads to today’s edition of Question of the Day: Is Eminem washed up?
