The majority of you Hip-Hop historians will either love or loathe Die Antwoord.

Touching down online like an F5 tornado with quite possibly two of the most random rap music videos ever produced, the pierced-tongue-in-cheek trio of Ninja, Yo-Landi Vi$$er and DJ Hi-Tek have turned a top spot on Google Trends into a contract with Jimmy Iovine’s machine in a matter of months. You should probably read that again and then slap yourself, because you haven’t done diddly squat in the past 100 days and these crazy South African cats are getting record deals by being fake rappers. Now that I think about it, a few people could fall into that category.

The only difference is that these weirdos are actually original, with genuine talent and knack for production value, and will probably use their gimmick to get more than two summers worth of ringtone money like most half-a** hoodlums on the mic.
