With March 4th less than a month away, Rick Ross has officially begun his speaking engagement tour to drum up some publicity for MASTERMIND. First stop: Huffington Post.

During his interview with HuffPo Live’s Marc Lamont Hill, the big belly man spoke on his prior beef with Young Jeezy (that resulted in the kerfuffle at the 2012 BET Awards), how it came about in the first place, and why they decided to end it.

On ending his feud with Jeezy:

“We had past differences and we put that to the side, being true bosses. And do something big for the culture, which is bigger than both of us. So here we have it, “War Ready.”

On the source of their beef:

“At the end of the day, it was a lot of misconfusion at the end of the day because me and him personally never had an issue. I think that was one of the reasons we were able to really resolve this problem because we never really personally had a issue. Amongst bosses, you know, we like to call it, ‘That rapper stuff.’ And, you know, real bosses get over that and that’s what we did and I’m happy we was able to do that and set the examples for some of the younger bosses that’s coming up and let ‘em know it’s all about making that positive progress.”

What made them come together:

“It was just the time, nahmean? It was just the time. MMG. Ricky Rozay. I’m expanding and getting bigger. It’s a lot of entrepreneurs doing the same and Jeezy was one so it just time for us to come together. Let’s capitalize and make something big happen for the game, for hip hop, for the culture. And we may be doing something else. You never know.”

But T.I. said… Yep, classic Rick Ross.
