Rihanna Gives Drake All He Can Handle In New ‘Work’ Video

Rihanna finally debuted the hotly anticipated video for “Work” featuring Drake, also known as Midas Touch. Just like it was teased in the little snippets we saw a couple of weeks back, director X used his previous work on Sean Paul’s “Get Busy” video as inspiration for the visuals to Rih’s dancehall smash. In this cut, however, Rihanna plays the part of a rub-a-dubbin’ Bajan ting who gives Drake more work work work work work than he can handle. Plus, there’s also a bonus video directed by Tim Erem that’s a bit more simple than all that bashment partying, but still has the frequent collaborators dancing together.

After several weeks of bad Rihanna news, the video’s smooth release may mean things are starting to look up for the singer. Last week, Rihanna had to cancel her Grammy performance at the last-minute due to bronchitis. She was also forced to postpone the start of her ANTI World Tour due to “production issues.” On top of that, previous performances booked at stadiums overseas were reportedly scaled down to arenas or outright cancelled due to poor ticket sales.

Not to mention the disaster that was the ANTI album roll out, which “leaked” ahead of its release date because of a system malfunction or something like that. It’s been a tough 2016 for the bad gal. Hopefully she used her birthday wish on good fortune.

Rihanna is scheduled to perform at the Brit Awards on Wednesday.
