It only took five quarters for something horrible to happen to Redskins’ Robert Griffin III. Washington’s quarterback went down with an ankle injury in the first quarter of their game against the Jaguars today, and it does not look good. Although nothing has been confirmed the video below won’t give Skins fans much hope for quick return to the field.
Warning: The clip below is graphic.
RG3’s replacement Kirk Cousins has looked solid since Griffin was carted off the field but, to add injury to, well, injury, Desean Jackson also left the field with a shoulder injury in the first quarter.
At the time of this posting, Cousins has led Washington to a 21-0 lead over the Jags, and that’s good news for Washington fans because it appears he’ll be their QB for the foreseeable future.
Update: Griffin reportedly has a dislocated ankle which will most keep him out for the remainder of the season. Guess this means Cousins will be the Redskins starter for the time being. Let’s hope RG3 can recover and get back to good health soon.
