You might call us Run The Jewels fans. Matter of fact, you might say that we fell in love with Killer Mike and El-P’s first venture as a group. As such, it’d be totally reasonable to picture us geeking over the thought of a follow-up album.

Time flies, this snippet to “Blockbuster Night Part 1” offering living, reverberating proof that we’re closing in on the release of said project, Run The Jewels 2. My advice before pressing play: know your surrounding. Angry at your girl but don’t really want to go there? Sitting in rush hour traffic? ‘Night…’ is as empowering an offer as we’ve heard from the duo, pure adrenaline fuel. So unless you want to cause some irreparable damage at home or on the freeway, make sure that you’re listening in a happy place.

Again, this is only a sliver of a song. No definitive word yet on when RTJ2 is dropping, but we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Also, shouts to Track, who took a break from putting Rap Fan stickers on his old CDs and vinyls to provide scratches for El’s beat. RMF!

Update: Here we go with the full version and the news that our favorite duo will be releasing their follow-up project, titled RTJ2, on October 28 via Mass Appeal Records. Let the world rejoice!
