And so it was written, Corinne Bailey Rae can do no wrong. When she sings, the clouds part and the sun shines through, doves circle in flight overhead and everything’s right in the world. When she sings about love as she does on “Makin’ It Hard For Me,” she makes it sound and feel like the mesmerizing prospect that it very well should be. And when she’s with Salaam Remi, the change in style allows the producer to shift into the role of orchestra conductor who’s guiding the music behind the singer’s lead, meant to only accentuate and not be the main attraction.
“Makin’ It…” comes from Remi’s album One: In The Chamber, which also sports features from Akon, Ne-Yo, Stephen Marley and more. Check for it in stores on September 30th.
