SL Jones – “All Love”

03.10.13 5 years ago

Man, if you didn’t check for SL Jones’ Trappers Delight project, shame on you. Standing tall at a strong seven tracks, the M16-produced EP is filled with nothing but singalong street heaters, which all properly display the Little Rock MC’s versatility in and out of the booth. Essentially, Jonesy keeps it one hundred on some of the grimiest topics, yet somehow turns his turmoil intro radio-ready rap records.

Luckily for anyone who missed them, SL has just re-released a no-DJ version with the extremely choice bonus cut, “All Love.” Backed by more of the anthem-ques synths and pavement-cracking 808s that makes the rest of the tape so clean and complimented by Jones’ perfectly-executed crossover concept, this is a prime example of the type of music SL Jones makes best – hits.

To get up to speed on Jonesy or just finally get the tagless version of Trappers Alley, head over to his website and help support the man’s come-up. Shoot, the merch is pretty fresh, too.
