Biggie and Jay mentioned playing Monopoly with real cash on Life After Death’s “I Love The Dough.” Unfortunately, for reasons we’re all familiar with, that vision was only able to manifest itself in the “Dead Presidents” video. Smoke DZA, Dom Kennedy and several familiar faces pay homage to that visual with “Pow Wow.” In a dimly lit room, drinks are flowing, blunts are passed and everyone in attendance prays for the moment they can place a hotel on Boardwalk as quality tunes fill the room. DZA, who recently signed with Spitta’s Jet Life label, and Dom are opposite when it comes to delivery, yet both styles worked well on said track, a standout from this year’s Rolling Stoned. And while it’s common knowledge, D.K. can spit some of the coolest, most laidback shit in rap. He’ll make you either want to get money or drive down Sunset Blvd. blasting From The Westside, With Love or The Original Dom Kennedy.
Cory Gunz, Big Sant and Big K.R.I.T. all make appearances in this near three minute 3 Little Digs-directed clip. The only question remains who had the thimble? And who ended up getting all the railroads? That’s a quick and near foolproof way to come on a good chuck of money.
