Snoop Dogg Thats-My-Work-3

What? Didn’t expect Bigg Snoop Dogg and Madlib to link up? Well, shake that surprise and knock this classically funky new banger “Cadillacs,” from Snoop’s latest Gangsta Grillz project That’s My Work Vol. 3.

This lowrider-friendly track finds the legendary Stones Throw producer reworking a One Way classic for the 213 leader, who croons the gangstafied hook and straight laces the bubbling bass line on the verses. Old school Snoop style, thorough and through. He’s sounding so nice, that on the first play, I literally threw my arms up in the air when his first 16 dropped, like “Ain’t No Fun” came on at a house party or something. This is the West Coast rap many of us grew up on.

Show proper praise due to the Doggfather, by checking out the rest of his latest project with DJ Drama below. The song directly after this one reworks an old Daft Punk track, so it should be interesting.
