Personally, I’ve never been one to jump at the opportunity of serving my country. But bias and personal opinion aside, my respect is ten-fold for those that do. Knowing there are two sides to every point of view, the duties they fulfill on behalf of the American public are bountiful and, in principle, definitely for the greater good. Despite anyone’s belief, I’d say most can at least agree with that.
Well, everyone except for Soulja Boy, apparently. Throwing critical thinking right out the window, the often-obnoxious ATL rapper recently dropped the following lines of utter disregard in his track, “Let’s Be Real,” found on his latest mixtape, The Last Crown.
“F**k the FBI and the army troops … fighting for what? Be your own man… I’ll be flying through the clouds with green like I’m Peter Pan.”
That’s bad on so many levels.
Even though the FEDs have been getting hated on in Hip-Hop for years, throwing jabs at the good folk serving and protecting our country is a new level of atrocity. So much so, he has gotten immediate heat as a result from retired Marines and currently-enlisted members of the armed forces. What’s even better is that one of them is a soldier who doubles as a rapper named West Matik and delivered the diss track below, which goes fairly hard and calls for the tatted-up terror to “change (his) motherf*#%ing name.”
Forget a diss though, considering how thick the military rolls and how personally they tend to take things, these ill words could end up in a massive ass whoopin’ for this imitation Soulja.
