#TBT: That Time Kendrick, Wiz Khalifa, J. Cole, Curren$y And More Performed At Our ‘Bootleggers And Tastemakers’ SXSW Showcase

Peckerheads Outside 900

This past weekend I took a trip to SXSW Interactive and as is usually the case in Austin, walked a lot. While walking, I passed by the now-infamous Peckerheads. I’m not going to lie to you guys: I damn near shed a thug tear.

Peckerheads housed some of my favorite all-time memories as it was the hub for the Grand Ole Party Of Bootleggers And Tastemakers. We had everyone from B.o.B. to Yelawolf to Kendrick Lamar and, yes, even Macklemore perform there all right when they were on the cusp of mainstream success.

No matter who these artists all ended up becoming, Peckerheads was where they came to kill it and hone their craft. So, as we reminisced on our favorite moments, we decided to share them with you. If you were lucky enough to attend, drop a few of your favorite memories in the comments. In the meantime, here are ours.
