Behold the omniscient power of the digital media! After only a few days, the viral video of the Columbus, Ohio, golden-voiced homeless man, Ted Williams, whom TC wrote about yesterday, has already reaped rewards. And hopefully, a happy ending only present in today’s fast-pace media world. According to ESPN:

“The Cleveland Cavaliers have offered a job to a homeless Ohio man with a golden radio voice.
Ted Williams, whose deep baritone and plight have made him an online video sensation, was contacted Wednesday by the Cavs. Team spokesman Tad Carper says details are being worked out on the possible position. It could include Williams working in Quicken Loans Arena.”

With Norbel gone, any remnant of talent that may have once graced the Midwestern Clippers perished along with his unceremonious exit. The assembly of listless, overpaid morons who currently litter the team create the sound of lottery balls bouncing off one another. However, if Williams is permitted to showcase his vocal chords in any form for the Cleveland franchise, then there is at least one reason to still drop cash on a Cavs ticket. And, maybe, there will be at least one person in the building giving his all night after night.

According to All Access, Ted now has more options than being Dan Gilbert’s employee..

— Ohio Credit Union League gave him $10,000 cash and a retainer deal for voicework
— ESPN is reportedly offering him a job
— MTV reportedly wants to discuss a reality series
— A free vacation trip to HILO, HI to voice a commercial … and the list goes on!

Of course you going to want to get an ID, Ted. Those things come in handy for overnight celebrities.
