Shaq’s inclusion in TNT’s Inside The NBA crew has gotten better with time.
Chalk most of that up to chemistry – things started kind of slow, the show already having its alpha dog before O’Neal hopped on board. And for his part, Charles Barkley didn’t seem too keen on sharing the spotlight. It reeked of one of those network decisions that made sense to some Turner execs, Shaq and few other people. But thank goodness, the two would appear – on air, at least – to be more or less on the same page as the 2013-2014 season comes to a close.
The fruits of said progress are seen in “Shaqtin’ A Fool,” a lovely segment from TNT’s Thursday night coverage that sees Shaq, Chuck, Ernie and Kenny clown on the NBA’s special-est plays (and players). And because the basketball gods want to take 36 minutes of your life with no intention of giving it back, we have every ‘Shaqtin” segment back-to-back-to-back-etc. There isn’t any scientific way to rate them, either, because you think that Joakim Noah riffling a pass off of Kirk Heinrich’s face is the bottom of the barrel, and then Javale McGee comes in, muttering “Nah dude, I wear the crown around these parts.”
Again, you will not get these 36 minutes back. Enjoy!
