06.15.12 6 years ago 2 Comments

Another seven days down for The Distinct Life’s “Dirty 30 For 30” series and we’ve rounded up all the people and footwear to run down the profiles and future footwear showcased. Just like last week’s version, the good brother Rick handles the descriptions while photographer Jeremy Deputat makes the shoes and people look larger than life.

And, again, the series updates daily at

Day 8: Black Milk

Day 8’s sneaker is the New Balance 998 “Made in the USA.” This shoe is being presented by Detroit artist and producer Black Milk. Black is an example of another very accomplished artist from the streets of Detroit. With three critically acclaimed solo albums and four joint projects already under his belt, black is here to stay. For more information on Black Milk check him out here. This New Balance 998 is available now at select New Balance accounts.

Day 9: Jeremy Williams

Entrepreneur/Film Maker Jeremy Williams presenting a forest green suede New Balance 998 Made in the USA. Jeremy was one o the producers of both, the viral video that we did for my last “30 For 30” and the video that we created to accompany the Burn Rubber x New Balance Workforce pack. If you are looking at this picture and saying to yourself “Wow this guy looks very similar to Rick!” You are not just seeing things, this just happens to be my real life blood brother.

Day 10: Paradime

Day 10 finds Paradime presenting the classic New Balance 574. This particular 547 is a part of the New Balance “Neon Pack” these will be available in October 2012. Paradime’s a Detroit Hip-Hop artist and official DJ/Hypeman for Kid Rock. Be on the look out for his forthcoming album The Slow But Inevitable Maturation of Freddie, scheduled for release in late 2012.

Day 11: Nate Burleson

Detroit Lions’ wide receiver Nate Burleson holds it down on day 11. Nate has chosen to present the camouflage Converse Jack Purcell. This current spin on the classic JP is definitely on trend. This shoe will be available fall 2012.

Day 12: Marv Won

The legendary Detroit Battle Rapper/MC Marv Won’s a guy you can find all over the internet killing your favorite rapper’s favorite rapper! Marv presents us with the New Balance 1600 set to release July 2012. This shoe is definitely going to be one of the top sneaker releases from NB for 2012 in my opinion.

Day 13: Angela Wisniewski

Detroit writer and stylist Angela Wisniewski presenting none other than the Puma x Alexander McQueen AMQ Deck Low. This shoe is Puma’s spin on a classic model that is traditionally seen made in canvas. The premium materials makes this a perfect shoe for this fall. These shoes will be available in August 2012.

Day 14: Denaun Porter

This “Made In The USA” New Balance 996 is being presented by Detroit based national recording artist and producer Denaun Porter. You may have seen Denaun backing up Eminem on stage or in the liner notes of your favorite artist last album. Mr. Porter is everywhere! This cardinal red suede 996 will be available in August 2012.
