The-Dream never ceases to amaze us. Last month, the Auto-Tune crooner released a Sam Cooke cover tape out of nowhere. Now, Terius is back with another unexpected addition to his portfolio, dropping a short film called Genesis along with an accompanying ten-track mixtape of the same name.
The clip is a Tidal exclusive and the full watch isn’t readily available, but based on the previews, Dream’s eye appeal looks quite vague.
The message [of Genesis] is for the viewer to decide, for me the message is simple, these faces or bodies represent something inside of me, a feeling. You have to look past what you see and past what you hear to even be near the essence of it.
The project itself seems to follow suit, showcasing the various levels of Love King’s versatile tool-belt, exposing broken vibes on “Bury” and sounds of sinister redemption on “No Pacts.” Among the many lurking moods, the most forthcoming are “Heir Jordan” and “Virtuous” with Wiz Khalifa, so take that for what it’s worth.
