Words By Jason Hortillas
Give it up one time for the indie labels ’cause Termanology has officially signed with the Brooklyn based Nature Sounds. Major label allure doesn’t hit ’em anymore huh? After the migration to Koch by more than a handful of artists, the popularity of the act itself made many others follow suit. When asked why he didn’t sign with a major Term replied, “I decided to go the indie route to have total control of everything related to my project.”
If control involved picking up his lineup of producers (DJ Premier, Hi-Tek, Pete Rock, The Alchemist, Buckwild, Nottz, Large Professor -whew!) who wouldn’t go indie? Nature Sounds has been known to release mainly records from well established artists like Masta Killa of Wu-Tang, Havoc of Mobb Deep and more recently Pete Rock. Let’s see how they do with a with a fairly newer act in Termanology.
The album, titled Politics As Usual, is schedule to drop this fall.
