Never give the Internet a challenge. Chances are they’ll win every time out. The original intention from The Weeknd was to drop the visual for “Rolling Stone” at three in the morning when exactly 35 people would be up to watch. Most of these tech savvy Internet’ers must have day jobs like the rest of us because it hit the net about six hours ahead of schedule. Don’t feel bad though. “Rolling Stone” is a rather simple video that Abel couldn’t have taken more than an hour to shoot since it consists of him singing while sitting in front of the camera.
Abel’s first major project, Trilogy, will be comprised of mastered versions of all three of his mixtapes – House of Balloons, Thursday, Echoes of Silence – plus three additional new records. The album will be released via Universal on November 26 and is available for pre-order at the-weeknd.com.
