Attending a historically Black university was one of my life’s greatest decisions. I’m always left to wonder, however, how partying was at HBCU’s in the ’90s before the advent of smart phones and social media. And, of course, the music.
Especially when records like T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli’s “Diggin’ On You” made its way into rotation at house parties. Mess around and not get her phone number while TLC all but rolls out the red carpet if you want to. It’s not as if plunging into her DM’s on Twitter or liking all of her pics on Instagram was an option in 1994.
