Toro Y Moi could go all of 2013 without releasing another song, considering the act otherwise known as Chadwick Bundick dropped his third LP, Anything In Return, back in January. But complacency–especially in an album year–isn’t Chaz’s MO. So Toro leaves fans with an isolated morsel of low-key goodness called “Campo,” which burbles along with an understated snare drum beat. It’s built for the coffee house and late-nights after work when all you want to do is get lost in a field*, doing nothing.
Luckily, Chaz doesn’t believe in doing nothing, sitting on his output. That’s why we have “Campo,” so we can do it for him.
Listen to the track below. “Campo” is available for purchase as a 7″ during Toro Y Moi’s fall North American tour.
* – “Campo” is the Spanish word for “field.”
